What I’m Looking At: Jeremy Kohm

It might not look like much but it’s something that Jeremy Kohm would love to see in person. Before shouting out terms like “freak” and “wack-o” let’s hear him out.

The image above might not make too much sense but it’s something that I would really love to see in person. It’s actually the screenshot from 1 of the 40 computers that controls Hamburg’s Miniatur Wunderland.  They’ve got something like 13 kilometers of track that connect these really intricate and detailed scenes that demonstrate all aspects of daily life. The promo video explains that the exhibit sprawls across 1,300 square meters. I’m really drawn to the concept of size, scale and detail so that’s probably why I’m so fascinated with these kinds of things. Check out this video that shows the scope of the project.
